Anyone who has done any research on online marketing knows scams abound, no matter where you look. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the multitudes of inexperienced people who are looking for better lives. It’s very sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to pursue schemes that never yield any fruit. Thankfully, methods abound for making money on the Web without any up-front fees. This should be good news to those who have had run-ins with Internet scheme run by scam artists!

But sometimes one person’s scam is another person’s good opportunity. An example of this is the controversy over an online business opportunity named Site Build It. Some believe that at least one person has written a Site Build It affiliate review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he might be right about his product being on the up-and-up. But it would be up to any potential buyer to do his or her own research.

One of the most successful ways I’ve found to make money online is above-board and also fairly simple to implement. I make money writing with HubPages. HubPages — a group blogging site — makes it simple to create content and generate ad revenue. How many content “hubs” you create is up to you. Each hub has the potential to make up to five forms of revenue: Amazon and eBay items, any affiliate program you’d like to implement, Google AdSense ads and Kontera ads. Sixty percent of the impressions (page views) that generate revenue go to you and the people who own HubPages get 40%. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; you get one hundred percent of any income generated by someone clicking through on an affiliate link. Creating money-making hubs takes a bit of practice but in my opinion, the money you can earn over time makes it worth the effort.

One of the affiliate programs I like to use on my hubs is RevResponse, because people who sign up get credible free information. When anyone clicks on your links and qualifies to receive free RevResponse publications or white papers, you make money. It’s that simple. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so that aspect is important to understand. To learn more, you might want to read this affiliate review. It will help you determine whether signing up is worth your time.
