My friend is an outdoorsman, at least that’s what he dreams of, on a 9 to 5 day he tunes up small networks and performs an excellent job and possesses a par excellent reputation. When I’m stuck with a computer problem, Jody is the person I dial and no matter how hard or intricate the problem, give him some time and he’ll ferret out the solution. He mentioned something disturbing last week, it seems that the majority of the computers he works on have spyware or adware on their systems, and most his customers are ignorant of it; e-mailing him when their machines become slugish.

The net is like to a living, breathing creature frequently developing, and sometimes not in a helpful path, though it certainly has given me opportunities. As times flows and proficiency advances, so also does spyware. It is crucial in this day and age to have Spyware Removal tools installed and to use it often; equally is running software updates, because what may have worked previoulsy could miss a new type ofvirus or spywarecreated today.

As benchmark for this musing (but not using this system) I ran a test, uninstalling any spyware removal software then purposedly visiting several traffic trade sites. These sites are perfect for new internet marketers, giving them the means to send people to their sites, simply by their visiting and looking at the sites of other newbies. They work like this:

You visit site ‘A’ and receive a credit for doing so. The credits are assigned to a site you want to promote. when others follow the same process, your site or offer will be displayed. The system allows everyone to receive traffic to their sites.

The person who first invented this is brilliant, but some (not all) of these traffic exchanges are either part of a larger entity or used by people with dishonesty on their mind. Their scheme is not to simply display an offer or website, but to install spyware on your system. And with today’s technology much of this spyware is smart enough to start the installation of spyware/adware onto your system, as easily as surfing to their innocent looking website. I’m not knocking these sites or suggesting that all are bad, I am recommending prudence and suggesting you be convinced your system is safe.

If this concerns you, experienced people say you already have or will assuredly fall victim to spyware or adware. If you have the belief, well I don’t visit movies or music sites and I definetely never download illegal software, then pat yourself on the back, but you are remain open to attacks. Take the preventative measure. To quote the old saying…

‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’

In this day and age it not only makes good sense, its mandatory to protect yourself. There is a lot of your data, either from work or privacy concerns; think of getting up to find all your records gone. Appalling, certainly… Might it happen?… It’s happened to others. Stoppable? Yes you can by installing the right malware removal software.

Were you aware that spyware was so widespread, perhaps you’re wondering what will spyware and adware do to my computer. Outstanding, happy to know you’re thinking. Mostly spyware/adware are not rampant killers, but silent reporters. Mostly they collect data then report your activity to a database somewhere; the spyware might initiate pop-ups and in most cases will stifle your computer, slow your CPU speed and diminish your connection to the world wide web. It’s not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.

I’m very grateful there are intelligent men and women who feel precisely the same way that I feel; meaning these programmers want to do something about it. I don’t know how to write code, Instead I write, and I submit these facts to offer advance warning and propose you make preparations and look after your home computer. I am grateful to those coders with the intelligence and heart to write and make available these fine spyware/adware removal tools.

When you make a decision on which spyware/adware programs to install, I’d recommend regular scans of your home computer. If the programs are setup properly, most of the grunt work is done on autopilot, and almost certainly while you’re asleep.
